What is the warranty on Icom products?

ICOM, Incorporated, is proud of the technology within and workmanship quality of its products. ICOM America, Inc., the authorized ICOM distributor, warrants this ICOM land mobile radio to

be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of two (2) years and any attendant accessories (i.e. battery pack, antenna, belt clip, wrist strap, charge adapter, wall charger,

etc.) for one (1) year from the date of purchase. ICOM America Inc. will, at its option, replace or repair parts found defective and return the equipment or parts to the owner.

The above-stated warranty is for the original owner and the undertaking to repair does not apply to an ICOM land mobile radio which, in ICOM America’s exclusive judgment, has failed due to

misuse, corrosion, accident, natural disaster, alteration, unauthorized or improper installation, repair or modification. The owner is responsible for the transportation costs of the equipment to

the distributor for the warranty repairs set out above.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF TIME SET FORTH

ABOVE. ICOM AMERICA, INC., SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED

WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. This is the only express warranty applicable and ICOM America, Inc., neither

assumes nor authorizes anyone to assume for it any other express warranty.

Is there an extended warranty program?

The Optional Extended Warranty Program extends the foregoing ICOM America limited warranty on Land Mobile Radios but not for attendant accessories (i.e., batteries, microphones, external

speakers, chargers, etc.). The buyer selects a coverage period of one (1), two (2) or three (3) years. The limitations, exceptions, and exclusions to the ICOM limited warranty still apply during

the extension period.

The ICOM Extended Warranty Program must be purchased within sixty (60) days of the date the eligible product(s) were purchased. Verification that the Extended Warranty Program was

purchased, product purchase date and serial numbers may be required of Buyer. The Extended Warranty is only available for a land mobile radio purchased by the original Buyer of such products.

Neither the benefits nor coverage of this program are assignable or transferable.

The ICOM Extended Warranty Program covers land mobile radios, which fail as a result of defects in material or workmanship for the applicable extended warranty coverage period. In addition

to the exclusions from coverage stated in ICOM America’s Limited Warranty, the Extended warranty program does not cover: a) new feature or function upgrades available as a result of advance

in the state-of–the-art, b) tuning, adjusting, or aligning of the transceiver unless required as a part of a covered repair, c) separately contracted, dealer provided, add-on services (i.e., pickup

and delivery, installation services, on-site service, etc.), or any other additional services of a dealer or third party.

ICOM America will cover ground transportation out-bound from ICOM America’s repair facility in Bellevue, WA or any other authorized ICOM Warranty Service Center or service agent for all

repairs covered under the Extended Warranty Program. As a courtesy to our Extended Warranty Customers, ICOM America will attempt to improve the cosmetic appearance of all covered returns

by cleaning the radio and replacing minor cosmetic parts during the Extended Warranty period.

Products covered by the ICOM Extended Warranty Program may be returned to the ICOM America Bellevue Service Center for covered repairs. Buyer may also return covered products to any

Authorized ICOM Warranty Service Center or other authorized service agent designated by ICOM America.

Are any of the Icom handheld’s “field programmable”?

The F70/F80, F3021/F4021, F3161/F4161 are all keypad programmable, you will have to request the option be enabled before your radios are shipped.

How long does it take when a product is ordered until it is shipped?
